For Congress
A New Voice for Rhode Island
Pedro DeSouza is fighting for working families, affordable housing, healthcare for all, and an end to forever wars.

A Working-Class Voice for Rhode Island
Meet Pedro
Pedro DeSouza is running for Congress to give regular Rhode Islanders a voice again. He is not a career politician. He has worked in restaurants, built a small business, and worked his way into a data career after COVID.
Pedro understands what it means to work hard, pay bills, and watch Washington ignore the people carrying this country. He is running to make life more affordable, hold government accountable, protect personal liberty, and put regular people back at the center of our politics.

Policy Platform
We need leaders who fight for working people. We need to build a positive vision for the future. That's what Pedro will do in Congress.
Housing Affordability
Wall Street should not be allowed to buy up single-family homes and turn neighborhoods into investment portfolios while working families are priced out. At the same time, we need to make it easier and more affordable to build homes by cutting unnecessary regulations and creating targeted tax incentives for builders who bring lower-priced starter homes to market. Homes are for families, not billion-dollar corporations.
Cost of Living
Lowering the cost of living means lowering the bills families cannot avoid. Gas, oil, LNG, electricity, and heating costs hit every paycheck, every commute, every grocery trip, and every home. Working families should not be squeezed by utility monopolies, energy companies, and bad policy while Washington pretends affordability is optional. If Congress is serious about helping people get ahead, it must bring down the basic costs of living.
Healthcare
Sickness should not come with a foreclosure notice. A child getting cancer should never mean a family loses their home. America already spends enough to provide healthcare to everyone. The problem is the waste: insurance companies, middlemen, inflated bills, and denied claims. Single-payer healthcare would cut out that waste, cover every American, and put patients before profits.
Education
If we do not give kids somewhere safe to go, the streets will raise them. Strong schools, safe after-school programs, mentors, sports, arts, and community activities give young people structure, purpose, and a better path forward. Education does not end when the school bell rings. We should invest in programs that keep kids learning, growing, and surrounded by adults who help them become stable, capable, and confident.
End Forever Wars
We must not inherit the pointless wars of our fathers. America should have learned from Vietnam. Instead, Washington keeps dragging each generation into the same disaster with a different name. No more forever wars. No more blank checks. No more sacrificing American lives for conflicts our leaders cannot explain, cannot justify, and refuse to win.
National Debt
The national debt is not just a number. It is Washington stealing from working families today and handing our children the bill tomorrow. Inflation is a hidden tax on every paycheck, grocery bill, and tank of gas. It helps the elite while crushing people who live on wages, savings, and fixed incomes. Congress must stop bankrupting America and start answering to the taxpayers who fund it.
Epstein Class
Anyone who abused, trafficked, protected, or enabled the abuse of children and adults must face justice. No sealed favors. No protected networks. No two-tier system. Power should never protect predators and victims deserve true vindication.
No AIPAC Money. No Foreign-Interest Lobby Money.
I will not take money from AIPAC, foreign-agent PACs, or lobbying groups that put another country's interests ahead of the American people. Rhode Island's seat in Congress belongs to Rhode Islanders.
